4-H Youth Development Network   PWTs   PWTs

Role of the Network.  The 4-H Youth Development Network is made up of representatives of each of the educator districts, co-chairs of the youth Program Work Teams, campus partners, and leaders in the system.  The Network functions as a pace-setter for the State 4-H Office – working closely with Barb Schirmer, our State 4-H Leader and staff.

The group meets three times a year to discuss concerns, trends and opportunities.

Program Work Teams.(PWT's) are affinity groups involving faculty and staff, extension educators, and external stakeholders. PWT's provide a mechanism through which faculty and extension educators connect with stakeholders in identifying issues, studying needs, creating educational materials, and designing learning experiences that address these issues and needs within specific content areas.

The 4-H Program Work Teams (PWTs) function to provide leadership for our mission mandates - SET, Healthy Lifestyles, and Citizenship.  Their work is represented in the Cornell Cooperative Extension Plan of Work.  The work teams meet in a variety ways - through conference calls and face to face meetings to accomplish their goals.
